Happy St George's Day

A day for England.

Okay most bloody English forget about it.

Edit:

With Korea in the news, think back to another St George's Day in 1951 and a bunch of blokes next to this river...

Wasn't our patron saint a Turk? Possibly a fact that most die-hard Ing-er-landers would happily forget.

Never mind, the patron saint of Germany is an English bloke. Don't the mention war, and all that!

If you celebrate or recognise St. George's day you are racist. Apparently. Diwali and Paddy's Day are all fine though.

Unfortunately when I see the cross of St George the three letters E, D and L flash across my mind. I wish they didn't. Pass the mind bleach, please.

It just doesn't look good to me, not a great design as flags go.

Much prefer the Union Jack. Now I don't mind if Scotland stay with us or go, but if they go can we please keep their bit of our flag.....

E,E,E D L! E,E,E,D L! Whose streets? Our streets! Whose streets? Our streets! E, E,E, D L!

Try listening to this being repeatedly chanted for 6 hours. You drive home and find yourself chanting it in your car!

Try going for a drink at your local (tettenhall) and deciding to wear your England flag top with it being St George's day.

Then when you get to your local find out 4 mates have had same idea and about 8 other people.

I am sure people walking in thought it was an EDL Sunday meeting lol.

Cool post. I won't forget that this is St George's day as it is the anniversary of my father passing. Great to look back on him

The Union flag is much more recognisable, however I'm a firm Englishman and like my St George cross too!
