Splash Guards?
Does any one make splash guards especially for a M2? Ones that match the curvature of the wheel openings. Any info or pics of some thing that works would be greatly appreciated!

I have a C7 Corvette that has factory option splash guards that are about 1.5 inch wide at their bottom and narrow to merge with the wheel opening about 8 inch up the wheel opening and they do help keep stones from hitting the rear quarter's and rocker panels. I am not looking for 4X4 mud flap's

I think you're onto something, the corvette ones are really nice.
I inquired with a vendor a few weeks ago who didn't seem interested in producing any and was going call a few more but ended up finding a guy in LA who specializes in small scale carbon parts and am waiting to hear back. I'll let you know what develops. |

Hey everyone, just a quick update. I spoke with a fabricator here in Los Angeles. He encouraged me to try and find something that already exists for another vehicle so he can modify it and make a mold from that piece vs developing something completely from scratch(we would be looking at paying $75 p/hr for 3-4 days to make prototypes from scratch).
All that said, anyone know of any plastic splash guards that seem like they would sort of fit which we could purchase for reasonably cheap and use for mock ups(update, I found some for an X1 that seem ok so I ordered a set)? And more importantly, what would everyone be willing to pay for these once they're available? Last edited by M2OG; 04-28-2017 at 05:35 PM.. |

Hi All,
I've been giving this a bit more thought over the weekend. I notice for example the Audi SQ5 has small rear plastic trims which are stuck to the rear wheel arches. Audi Part No: left 8R0853827 C4U8, right 8R0853828 C4U8 If you open this link with Chrome it will translate to English: https://www.drive2.com/l/8548548/ Someone has modified them to fit their Audi A4 perhaps they could fit an M2 arch? Ok, i know many won't like these and i'm not 100% sure of them myself but to try and avoid any more stone damage along the side of the car from stones being thrown up from the front wheels i fitted these mini guards.
They are made from HDPE Plastic and initially made for a VW Golf. I just modified them to fit the M2. Last edited by Prodigy.; 06-09-2017 at 08:05 AM.. |

Maybe the OEM F30 mud flaps could be made to fit?
