Best phone/gopro mounts

Just want to get everyone's opinion/experience with different mounting options for trackdays. I really need to find a good mount and location for my giant Iphone 6S+ so I can run the laptimer where I can see it but not be interfering with my view. Also what are people using to mount a gopro inside the car? Preferably a headrest mount but anything creative is welcome for discussion.

Dunno if they are still made but I use an AMT Engineering headrest mount.

I am extremely satisfied with my headrest GoPro mount. Videos come out great with very little to no vibrations. Its also very adjustable to play with the angle.

For the phone I use the Ram Mount. Not too happy with it because it sometimes doesn't hold my phone well when using the apple smart battery case. I have an iPhone 6. Also video from the phone does not come out great, pretty shaky, but I am fairly certain that no phone mount will excel in this area.

Bicycle mount works well with the towhook eye haven't tried it on the M2, but it gives great engine and turbo sounds!

Good stuff on the gopro mounts guys. What about phone mounts for running Harry's or whatever other laptimer/data apps?

Guys, do any of you with the headrest mount also use Schroth Quick-Fits? I’m concerned that the headrest mount would mess with the fit and/or integrity of the belts. I could also just have an overactive imagination.

I second that Tackform headrest mount, it’s rock solid, I’m running one front and rear facing off the back seat!

FWIW, The group I usually run with pretty much forbids the gopro mount. They’re a windows down events and have seen a lot of them go flying out the window when things get hairy.

You usually should have a secondary tether for this very reason.

Ahh, ok. That’s a pretty important thing to note.

I use this sturdy mount and have been very happy with the performance and zero shake.
