F30 LCI Fog Lights - installation issue on F30 335i
Hello,
I have some problem during the installation of the F30 LCI Fog Lights on my F30 335i. in fact, I had no problem for the installation of the left LCI fog light. But...for the other side, the right side, I had a big vertical part as you can see on the picture. As the LCI Fog light are bigger (deeper) than the no LCI one, it seems to be impossible to install the LCI fog light... Somebody succeed this installation on a F30 335i? Thank you very much for your help. Mikael |

The wiring is supposed to be plug and play and they should fit even though they are bigger. (At least it is for the m-sport bumper fog lights)
Check this thread out: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ght=For+lights Don't forget the coding to cancel out error codes and set output to 100% or they will flicker after a few minutes. (PS: they used f32 foglights on a f30 standard bumper, but the partsnumber is the same as f30 m-sport fog lights) Last edited by KingpinRCR; 04-16-2017 at 05:46 AM.. |

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. My problem is not the wiring itself because it is plug and play. I know this thread and based on it I replaced my left fog light. My only prolem is for the installation of the right fog light due to the big vertical part which I think will touch my fog light. If somebody already did on F30 335i, it will be nice to confirm the installation feasibility. Thank you! |

Wich part is that? (Ie. what does it do?) does it just touch? (Wich shouldn't be a problem) or is it impossible to fit the fogs in that place? It's tight but it should fit... otherwise

Honestly I don’t know the function of that part. I was not able to remove one of the screw of the current fog light due to this part..grrrrr! As the current fog light is a little bite behind this vertical part and as the LCI fog light is bigger, I think it will touch this part without the possibility to fit the fogs in that place. Anyway, I need to try one more time by removing the wheel to have a better access. The 335i F30 come with the N55 engine and the new 340i F30 LCI with the new B58 engine. Maybe the B58 engine layout is different than the N55, then no problem on the B58 for the installation of the LCI Fog light. |

I checked using ETK website and for the 335i F30, there is a oil cooling system.....with is the vertical part on my previous picture!
On the F30 340i LCI, there is the same system but the shape is little bite different. That's why the installation of the fog light can be possible. Anyway I have to remove my wheel and try again...I will let you know! |

Hello,
Finally I succeeded to install the left fog light with many difficulties: the access is very very limited!!!! Also, the oil cooling system is making the assembly of the fog light more difficult! I'm very happy to have now both LCI fog light installed on my F30 335i! |

Adjusting the light output up/down. I know how to physically do this but I was asking about measurements. The standard fog light aiming doesn't appear to give me optimal results.

Ok, I understand. Honnnestly, I didn't changed the light adjustment using the screw. In dark condition, the light emitted by the fog lights are well ajusted and the road is well illuminated. |

Thank you very much for sharing this information, I didn't know that. Hots days are coming in France (near Paris), I will check carefully the oïl temperature and hope it will not exceed more than 120°C... |

The very hot days are not the main problem but when you start rolling again, the cooling effect of the airstream would take longer to cool down the temperature and thats caused by the reduced over all available oilcooler surface, which are partly covered with the installed fog lights
