E90 LCI corner leds

Anybody know where the wiring is for it? I don't see it at all in my headlamp. I'm planning on tapping it to the AE.

You need to add the pins to both headlight connectors (pin 7) and run them to the FRM (pin 8 x14260 connector and pin 50 x14261 connector). According to this https://www.bmwgm5.com/Footwell_Module_Connections.htm

I just recently retrofitted e90 lci adaptive headlights to my pre-lci and haven't hooked up those 3-led marker lights yet. Still deciding if I should tap them into the AE or do it the proper way of wiring it to the FRM.

Are we talking about splicing them or making a new wire with terminal pins? If so where can I get the correct size of terminal pins from?

You'll need to pin them if you're going the frm route. I'm in the process of finding out the correct pin size as well so let me know if you find out lol

Damn, I think I may look for a donor headlight plug and getting the pins out of that to rewire. Yea I'll try to research, if you can find them as well let me know.

BTW which FRM did you use? Some guy offered me a FRM 3 but it says E87 E92 and E93. I have an E90, definitely not interchangeable right?

My car came with a FRM2 so I just used it. There shouldn't be any difference between the e90/91/92 FRM3 modules. Only differences is whether it's for halogen, xenon, adaptive xenon, etc...

I would just stick with FRM2 if your car already has one. It'll save you a lot of headache trying to retrofit a FRM3. The only thing extra the FRM3 has is welcome light activation via key fob.

Hey hopefully someone can help me out here. I'm doing a Pre-LCI halogen to LCI Xenon (Depo) conversion. I'm looking for the headlight connector pin layout, on the car (not headlight housing) side for a Pre-LCI halogen. I'm trying to figure out what signal wires are available for me to use. I'll add wiring to the housing as necessary.

Currently on the headlight housing connector there is a pin for DRL/AE, high beam (projector shutter), low beam (HID bulb), and parking/turn. But that's about it. If the FRM2 and car has more options available ideally I would like to code and wire up an inner halogen for flash to pass, the side LED bank off but lighting up for turn signal, and have the 3 LED's on all the time (I could probably wire these to the AE since I want those on all the time too). Cornering lights if possible would be cool too.

So basically I need to know if there are two "high beam" pins. One for cornering/flash to pass, and one for the projector shutter. I'm pretty sure there are but I don't know the pin layout.

Thanks!

hey - wondering if on a stock xenon LCI, are the 3 corner LEDs always on whenever the AE are on or only when the headlights (projectors) go on? I want mine to function the same as stock (I did a pre-lci to lci xenon conversion). Thanks!

They're on only when the parking lights or low beams are on.

This video does a great job in showing the lci headlight functionality
