How to mount crossovers?

Hello all,

How are people mounting their crossovers in their door cards in their E90s? I first tried Gorilla double sided tape but it fell straight off, then tried this other strong black tape and again that didn't hold. I have seen someone hold two bolts in with some Dynamat then screw the crossover onto them then completely cover with Dynamat which is great but Dynamat is sort of expensive.

If it matters, they are Focal 100KRS crossovers.

I used a small piece of Dynamat on the door card, approx. same size as the crossover. Then used 3M velcro to fasten crossover to that piece of Dynamat. It's been 4 years since install and no issues. It will sit there forever.
Should be able to find a cheaper alternative to Dynamat? Even in the tiny little land of Norway I found several other brands that are cheaper

I didn't have those foam inserts in my car either.

Okay I see. Thanks for that. After I read your post I found a sheet of Dynamat on eBay for about £5 for 240mm x 450mm. I think this is enough to cover both crossovers. I didn't realise you could buy small sheets like this! To be fair, I probably was being a bit lazy and trying to find something I could buy in a shop rather than having to order off the internet lol. I think I will go down this route

Appreciate your input.
