No, it is not covered under warranty per se. If you took delivery and determined it was out of alignment right away, I'd think the dealership would correct that for you at no charge. If it's been awhile, they probably will charge you.

Not to Jack the thread but will the dealership do an alignment if you have aftermarket wheels? Suspension is stock.

Yes, for $$. My dealer did my car with BBS wheels and non-stock suspension (M4 lower control arms) with 1 degree of negative camber beyond spec.

I don't know about BMW but what I've been told by other brand service writers was that 1 alignment was covered within the 1st year or 12K miles.. which every comes 1st.

Call your dealership and ask. If they say no, it's a no. If Yes, then you got your alignment.

I have never heard of alignment being covered under any warranty.
That means that they don't care what sort of wheels you have on the car, since they are going to charge you anyway.
If you have a trusted local indy alignment shop, they are likely to charge you less than a dealer, though.

Mercedes ( not sure currently ) in the USA offered an alignment under warranty for the first year. Don't know much about alignments, but I know Mercedes cars required a spreader bar to do front alignments and lots of shops had no idea how to do Benz's.

I just came from an STI and a GTI and they both had alignments done within the first year of ownership covered under warranty. The issue for me was the flat bottom wheels driving me crazy being not 100% straight across....
