Aftermarket headlights? white LED?
I have some new news in regards to headlights. How many people would be interested in replacement headlights (BMW OEM headlights) but with a white LED where the amber one is right now?
I am working with a lights specalist right now (Lightwurkz) that will allow us to modify stock headlights and keep to factory specs aside the annoying yellow led/bulbs. I will not sell these headlight unless we can guarantee they will not take in moisture. this project will be starting next week and would like to get some feedback to see if people would be interested?

Yellow LED side markers
Yellow doesn't annoy me at all. You've already got the much larger yellow parking light right next to it. Unlike the front reflectors, I think this is a safety feature I would not mess with, either.

Is he referring to the yellow turn signal light, right? So this isn't a quick fix; such as simply changing out the bulb?

I'm still waiting on a test set of headlights to work on this mod. Hopefully it will be a DIY. But I get the feeling it wont.
2 possible scenarios 1.) disable the power to the light (possible DIY) 2.) disassemble headlight and remove/replace yellow LED with white(this would be the cleanest way to mod it but hardest. (how I would like it done on my car.) Would be nice if this led was accessible without taking it apart. (guess we will find out when I get the test subject)

If you are opening up the headlights, you might as well do the LED ring angel eyes conversion. After all, baking open the headlights and resealing them just to change 1 LED on the side is plain silly.

oh
i didn't think you had to break open the headlights i thought the LED was mounted to a small circuit board you could pull out so what happens when the led goes bad? they change the entire headlight? |

A few members on e90 have simply cut power to the wire running the LED with no errors. Apparently the LED doesn't alter the current draw enough to trigger a bulb out warning. It would be simple to test though and rewiring would only require simple soldering.

On my previous e46 m3 I had the depo smoked corners in, I loved that look. If there is anyway this might be possible on these (since you would be opening up the headlights) I would be very interested, getting rid of the random orange led would be a bonus.
figured I would ask..

What about OSS? I believe they offer an upgrade for the corner light. But yes, if I'm going to open the assembly, I'm going all the way and doing OSS Angel Eyes and LEDs.

you can actually have the corner bulb and led delete coded...my brother coded mine..
so now it's just the ae's and xenons on, the corner bulb still flashes when the indicator is activated...
