MHD + Wedge Performance!!!!!

I have just finished working with Ken to create a custom 94 Oct tune for my 2011 335i MT. I have an ER Chargepipe and an n54tuning Catless Downpipe. The car is smooth and very strong for my daily driving requirements.

Here are two of my latest logs...

http://www.datazap.me/u/diggler70/lo...og=0&data=4-15

One question I have for the group though is whether I should look to add either a FMIC or meth as a "last" upgrade? Is it worth it or should I just leave things as they are?

A big shout out to Ken. Amazing work. Excellent service. Great guy!!!!

Thanks,

looks pretty good, I'm finishing mine also( Thread below yours) he's great to work with. FMIC is now on my" must list" getting one installed next week.
I have a CP also but you may want to look a foam drop in filter. Thats the only other mod I have and I'm seeing my MAFgs in the 300's

Looks like a FMIC would significantly stabilize your IAT during WOT. Not sure what ambient temp is where you are but IAT's are going up about 60 F during your runs. On a recent 3rd-4th gear logs of mine, IAT's only went up around 15 F. I cannot comment on Meth as I have no experience with it, but I am sure it would make a big difference as well.

I just bought the wagner evo step for my 1 series. I want to keep the stock connectors on this car and not cut any plastic. I also have meth so the combination will be perfect.

I don't think that one will work on my e90. Will have to look to see if they have one that fits my car as I like the idea of having stock connectors for a perfect fit and seal.

my main concern tho is power haha

how this custom map compares to the jb4 map 2 cause boost is 22 psi but timing is low and also

You can't compare JB4 to MHD custom mapping. JB4 is nothing more than a boost controller with predefined boost targets.

Fuel dictates how much timing you can run. You have a choice, reduce timing or reduce boost. I sent OP a new map to test with stock timing map so he can post a log with higher timing. I'm sure it will make more power but if you're pulling 5 deg across all cylinders you have two choices. Reduce boost or pull timing so it's minimize the corrections.

Here are a fresh set of logs from this morning using revision 3 as per Ken's note above about timing. Welcome any feedback as I have no experience or appreciation as to how to read this logs yet.

The car absolutely pulls harder with this revision!

Thanks for the input. I will see what Ken has to say this appears to be in the 3 revision as well.

On a side note, I really like your setup. Had the B12 kit as well. How do you find the FMIC you have?

Thanks! Why did you get rid of the bilsteins?

The Mishimoto intercooler has been amazing in the Florida heat compared to stock. Although I have never tracked the car, I have pushed it hard countless times(closed private roads of course ) and have never noticed any heat soak after back to back runs. Most of my recent datalogs were back to back. I am in no way an expert, but IAT's look pretty good to me.

Getting pretty dang close! The only thing at all is the double timing event on cyl 2, but a minor tweak to afr or timing should cure that. It looks like he is aiming for 12.5afr and it is rock solid. Going just a tad richer may help a bit. Looks like it is running strong!

Thanks for the feedback. She definitely is a different car now going from Dinan Dtage II to MHD Stage II to Wedge Performance Custom tune! Another couple of tweets and we are solid! Still debating whether to add a FMIC or meth. For a spirited daily driver, I am not sure I would get any real value out of it. Still debating!
