KW V1's($1,200) or Fortune Auto 500($1,350). ST's are somewhat equivalent to the KW V1's but you'll need to coat them with clear coat(fronts) for extra protection from corrosion. Those run for $800. Choose your poison.

Well ST V1 would be cheaper then KW V1. Both the same thing except ST V1 are galvanized.

Better question may be, what are you wanting to accomplish with your suspension upgrade?

I have BC racing coilovers and love them. They are made to order so it takes about 2-4 weeks to receive them. You can adjust the height and dampening

CAtuned or BC are as budget as I'd go. I've got the CAtuned and they're great.

YCW prebuy going on right now. They are mid tier, but with the 30% off they are right with the KW's, but offer more features. I have a set on order and pretty excited to get them on!

Much more firm than the V1's. The V1's were a little bouncy but definitely an upgrade over the stock suspension. It comes with great spring rates for the xDrive models. Camber plates also are included. For the price it can't be beat.

My only choices would be FA 500 or Ohlins(but vey expensive). I've driven in cars with both those setups and FA is definitely an upgrade over KW V1's.

Check out this thread on the YCW, these should be close to or on par with the FA and they are a steal at the intro price. They have made them for other platforms with good reviews and they are made by Mfactory who has good products.

To the people with bc coilovers-how is the ride compared to stock? Very stiff or just a bit stiffer? I'm looking for a relatively smooth ride for a street car.

the spring rates / the front to rear ratio is softer in the front then I would expect (front 6kg/mm rear 12kg according to Amazon) am I confused due to motion ratios? Looks very oversteer-y

I was also looking at the Godspeed monomax that have a more conventional split (14kg front 9kg rear) has anyone used these? I can't find a review for a and e90. Spring rates seem more in line and they are 150$ cheaper

I'm replacing a 110k mile suspension with blown front shocks so I am probably overthinking it and either would be better, just a bigger purchase.

Stock is 2.59kg/mm front and 8.21kg/mm rear. You want to keep a similar ratio (3.17). If you go a little stiffer in the rear it will help with understeer.

So in general KW V1s have more or less same comfort ride as stock xi suspension, but better handling and less body roll - correct?
Can you eliminate infamous xi front wheel gap using KW V1s?
