V10?

I'm a 3er owner, but my question is; is Bmw bring back the v10 for the m5?

just a guess , but I doubt it very much. The reason behind my guess is down to emissions /fuel economy.
Just look at the cars over the last few years , fewer cylinders combined with turbochargers producing the power of larger engines of not that long ago.
who knows we may even see a 3 cylinder 5series at some point in the future?

Wishful thinking I guess. The current m550 is faster than the previous gen m5 claims Bmw. It's only fair they bring back a v10 but it won't happen. Imagine v10 with xdrive water injection and twin turbos. the 7 series got a v12

What would the power difference be? It's going to be xdrive so I'm guessing a 50-70 difference between the m550?

I assume 600ish for the M5, so about 140 more than the M550i.

Are you talking about the g30 M5 or the h20(?) M5? I was suggesting the future successor to the g30 could go back to its v6 roots when they inevitably start electrifying...

Talking about the M5 version of the g30, believe it's called f90.

With a collection of M20B30, M52TUB25, M54B30, S85B50 and an N47D20 in our possession, I am familiar

As we were all off in dreamland thinking about s85 derivatives, I thought it would be funny to drop in a v6 * * comment hehehe
