alancshi, they look great BUT how does that work? I got the exact same wheels, exact same ET34 offset, exact same car... and the wheels sit out past the guard by 10mm (about half an inch for non metric literate people ). Dealer told me 285 wide tyres would fit. Even going back to 275 tyres the rim itself is still about 5mm past the guard - which in Australia makes it illegal.

Love advice, leaning towards returning the wheels or maybe machining the rear centre hub - is that safe though?

I do not want to mess around with camber, suspension, etc. Insurance nightmare and tyre life a third of what it should be...

Muffy , I think you're right. My rears are also sticking out by the same margin. I went with the recommended Vorsteiner fitment, and haven't had any problems with it, though!

with aftermarket wheel fitment, most manufacturers take into account suspension modifications and tire options when calculating clearance. The 275 rear would definitely work better with the 10.5" width on the rear but the M2 already poses many challenges with wider wheels due to its inner clearance with suspension and bumper tabs. I believe Vorsteiner has multiple combinations with the M2 fitment but I know their German distributor prefers the 10.5 rear for the multiple tire options. Michelin tires run the widest in its class so it will provide the fullest sidewall shoulder so their 275 is almost the same as a lot of other companies' 285. as far as milling backpads, most machine shops I deal with will not exceed 3mm for safety reasons. good luck with your wheel fitment search

thank you for that thorough explanation. we are heavily involved in the M2 community and love our customer's feedbacks! Here is our in-house example of our M2 with VFF-103 wheels finished in Carbon Graphite. We are using M2 Tuning Specific sizing 19x9 and 19x10.5. Our wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 and the chassis is lowered using Eibach Springs.

I'm running VFF-107s. 19x9 et21 in the front and 19x10.5 et42 in the rear. Tire specs are 245/35/19 and 265/35/19.

Vorsteiner_Info I wouldn't mind one of those license plates

Vorsteiner Wheels V-FF 107 / Carbon Graphite
(F) 19" x 9 et 21 / (R) 19" x 10.5 et42
Hankook Ventus V12 (F) 245-35-19 / (R) 285-30-19
I think 255 in the front would be better ( next set )
