Clutch slipping on MHD stage 1+

We had some lovely weather today so I put in my VRSF 7" . I flashed stage 1+ and went for a drive, first pull was top half of second into third and no problems. Second pull was from 2500rpm in third and when I hit 3k revs jumped to 3500 and held steady till the car caught up. I was confused for a moment. tried a couple more times in 3 and 4th to confirm that the clutch was slipping and it was I was not expecting any clutch issues with stock turbo ever let alone no down pipe and no E85. I dont believe the clutch is at the end of its life(only 56k) Anyone else heard of issues on such lower power?
Trans was replaced under warranty at 25k would BMW replace the clutch when they did that or reuse?

Does subframe need to be dropped to do the clutch on xdrive? does it give easy turbo or down pipe access? if im going to be in for a big labor bill might as well make the best use of it i can.

Welcome to the club. Replaced mine a month ago at 67k miles. Exactly the same issue, trying a third gear pull and it slipped.

Im MT, going to dial the tune back to stage 1 until summer when I will have plenty of other transportation options. Then its decision time, 550/is clutch and just bolt ons or spec 3+ and maybe do a turbo while I have everything apart. I think its going to be an interesting 6months for the n55 so we will see when we get there.

I'd personally go right in the middle at 2+. It has a great pedal feel, last longer then the 335is clutch, last longer then the 3+ and can hold plenty of torque.

my stock clutch started slipping around 60k too. ended up replacing with spec stage 2+ and SMFW. pedal is a little stiffer but barely noticeable and chatter is livable

chatter at idle i dont mind but i am nervous about putting something in and hating it, i dont mind heavy as long as the engagement is smooth, but i have to keep it reasonable for when the gf is driving. been thinking about going to twin disk if i decide to put in a new turbo because it seems that will keep an easy pedal feel and give good life and friction zone with a lot of power.

2+ is the best you are going to get with that kind of capacity.

Twin disk? They drive like tractors and very stiff.

i was under the impression that the pedal feel was lighter on the twin disc than a strong single, and granted most of them are a metallic, but with an organic pad they were easy to slip. I have never driven one though so I appreciate the info Jeff.
