2C58 2C86 after Pure Stage 2 install. need 3.5 bar TMAP help

Pure stage 2 install done with fuel pump. Got the 3.5 bar TMAP and the adapter but the adapter does not fit the JB4 connection whatsoever. Also what is weird, is that my new 3.5 bar fits the JB4 connection perfectly, which it shouldn't because that is what the adapter is for. Here's a picture of JB4 connection and adapter that will not connect to each other.

Throwing codes 2C58 2C86 and really just want to get this all sorted as I've been without a car for 3 weeks now waiting for this install.

Can anyone tell me why this TMAP connection is not working or if I'm doing something wrong because I'm hoping the codes are related to the TMAP chargepipe connection.

The adapter isn't needed for all cars.

The adapter is for typeA harnesses. If you are typeB then no adapter is needed. You do need to enter the JB4 setting for a 3.5bar sensor though.

You only need the adapter if you have a 'Harness A' JB4, if your JB4 is 'Harness B' it will plug right in without one.

Got it. That helps. I left the shop with the JB4 plugged into the new 3.5 bar TMAP and was still getting codes so I guess the problem is elsewhere. Could I possibly have to download the BEF to accomodate the new turbo? I've already adjusted JB4 settings for new TMAP.

What JB4 firmware are you on? 2C58 is for boost pressure deactivated. Could be caused by the wastegate controller not being plugged in, or from the 2C58 code. Which is TMAP reading below barometric pressure. Could possibly have a bad sensor. I would install the stock sensor to check.

No idea what JB4 does, but I found that even though my N20 TMAP plugged right in to my stock harness, the pins were reversed. N20 TMAP did not work with MHD until I re-pinned the stock connector:

This may not be necessary with jb4 though?

Hey, appreciate the response. I believe you scenario is for harness A, I don't think harness B fits reversed but I could be wrong. Harness A requires an adapter where Harness B does not.

I am indeed harness type A.

If your plugs fit together fine without the adapter then aren't you harness type A? you said it fit without the harness?
