Angry Fusebox Location

Hi,

My rear windscreen heating is not working. Normally from previous BMW's its just a fuse but for some reason I cant seem to locate where fuse 80 is in the boot.

See diagram of the fuses attached. If anyone can help me locate fuse 80 this would be great been struggling for a couple of days!

Oh so you have to remove those side panels and it should be behind the light cluster ?

Make sure your battery is in good condition. If it's low the computer will disable "unnecessary" consumers to save the charge.

Hi Moghm, I did resolve this. But my issue was different.. My parents went out in my car and she had spilt tea on the iDrive controls. She never told me this This caused the screen to keep resetting and the rear windscreen heating to not work. Because of the Screen resetting BMW took a look into the iDrive, replaced the controls and that fixed both things.

Sorry I couldn't be of any help but I hope your issue is not as big as mine

In the worst case there can be a Check Control message. In a really bad case cabin Air Conditioning fan stops working. If you have front seats heating it should work or work not because of the battery together with the rear windscreen heating. If it's not too cold (above +3° C/+37° F ambient), the engine is warm (regular idle revs), etc. - see the handbook, page 59, the Auto Start Stop function should work if the battery is fine. If you drive the car seldom and the trips are short the battery can be weak - just give it a generous (100 - 200 kilometres) ride to fill it up. Or use a charging device if you can.

Thanks for this. I suspect my battery is ok as start stop works fine, but I will keep it in mind. I do need to check fuse 80 though. According to the fuse diagram, it points to back right in boot. Any tips on where this is because the manual (page 264) only mentions 2 locations for the fuse box 1. under bonnet and 2. under boot carpet. Appreciate the info
