I believe there is another Dinan video with those numbers for the N20. I will find it and link it as soon as I am back at my desk.

When I had my Dinantronics installed in June 2015 the numbers were 311 HP/328 Torque with 93 octane gas. They dynoed the stock N20 at 268HP/290torque also with 93 octane set at Sport+.

Aren't Dinan number usually at the crank?

In which case it's possible. My 328 got 238hp and 268lbft at wheels on stock tune on rwd dynojet.

Just realized the discussion is for 320, and not 328.

The n20 in the 320 as far as I have managed to dig up is the same engine as the 328. Older versions were different CR (11:1 instead of 10:1) but I heard that that changed and later in the n20 life it was just a detuned version.

So yes the 320 can easily be tuned to the same as the tuned 328, which is easily a 100 delta from stock 320.

The numbers in question were the 'stock' numbers...at 268hp (wheel)...I'm thinking 'no' unless it has a straight 6 in it......

No surprise that a tuner dyno would err on the high side, but the change seems reliable: +40hp is a real nice bump for a bolt on (unless this is also w/ downpipe etc).

40hp is certainly reasonable..its the baseline for stock in question. I've not seen a stock N20/N26 with wheel output at 268hp.......thats N54/N55 territory.......

Oh Doh!

Yea no way it's making that stock. That Dyno needs some calibration. Or like you said straight 6.

Yeah. It looks like it's the same piston part number for model after Aug13 with the option s858a. Not sure what's that option though
