530e thoughts
Hi Everyone
I'm wondering will the vdc or ias options be available on this model? No vdc on 330e at least. I was also hoping to switch out the run flats but will the space saver wheel be an option with the battery pack eating into the boot? It could be an interesting proposition if priced around the 520d and you had a short commute. Be great to hear your thoughts. |

I searched G30 technical docs and did not find any mention of ias or vdc.
For me, 530e is out since it is getting 330e motor rather than X5 and will have only 250 hp. |

In Ireland at least the 330e is cheaper than the equivalent 320d when government grants are factored in and when I posed the question whether this pricing could be assumed for the G30 I didn't get a denial....diesel is going to be a pariah in the coming years so if priced at or below the 520d one would assume that it would be be very attractive to a lot of people if they opened their eyes to it. The boot size is reduced by about 20% apparently which probably wouldn't bother most, but as a golfer I'd have to check it out first.

I will also be in the market for a 530e preferably M Sport.
I would have preferred touring version as I am coming from an A6 Avant however i think BMW are definitely not doing the touring of the 530e. What advantage would having the VDC have? And what other 'essential' options. I am thinking for me: m sport plus package Split seats, 19" 664 (not sure whether black or silver) are the darker style wheels getting a bit past it now? bluestone metallic, cognac interior, piano black trim. elec front seats+mem enhanced bluetooth charging power bootlid adaptive LED (are these essential) reverse camera display key. Will likely have to trim these options down but what are essential and not? and am i missing anything? thanks guys |

Adaptive LED is the signature style for G30 and therefore based on style might be essential. What about HUD?
The ordinary LED headlights look worse than XENON F10 as the indicator is halogen and it has no eyebrow light |

My dealer has quoted me for the VDC on the 530e as an option so I guess it is available.
