noob MHd questions

Is the the exhaust burble option available as part of the backend mhd flash maps, or is it only available for the primary maps?

The back end is designed to seamlessly integrate MHD with the JB4 to get the "best of both worlds" between flash smoothness and piggyback functionality. It's literally designed so you can flash with MHD while keeping JB4 features which is what you seem to want.

Why would you exclusively have interest in running JB4 simultaneously with the "non backend" MHD maps?

It's not part of any of the map packages. It's included in the options menu with the flashing module. So to answer your question you just need the MHD flashing module to get it.
