Thoughts on ingnition coils>?

Anyone try Bavautos performance ignition coils? any good? worth the money?

Do you have a bad coil? I'm at 97k miles and have no coil problems. I see people recommend them, but have yet to see a bad N55 coil.

Aftermarket "performance" coils are nothing but a gimmick.

Just get the Bosch ones from Amazon. Or you can get Delphi ones since BMW switched to Delphi in (2011?)
The Bosch ones are $133 for a set of 6

+1 on the boshs, I think ECS tuning always has a solid deal on Bosch Coils and Plug kits.

i wouldn't change coils on an n55 unless they were actually broken. the n55 was designed to limit coil failure by having coolant passages near the coils. n55 addressed alot of the n54 issues so i wouldn't use n54 advice on a n55.

change the plugs at a decent interval and i dare say the coils will live a long life. as plugs become worn while they may not misfire they'll put extra load on the coils.

I've had to replace a coil from misfire on f10 n55. I'm still stock with 54k miles. I just went ahead and replaced all of them at same time. I got Delphi ones from rockauto for cheap
