Jb4 NLTS only works sometimes...

Hi guys I've had nlts on my previous turbo car Evo ix never had any problems. The Evo never had any bog issues powerband was strong all thru the powerband.

My experience with my 335xi has been very different. I installed the jb4 with the anti-lag relay did couple of pulls at first the nlts wasn't working. I did some troubleshooting and set the user adjustment D to 14. Nlts started working I did a couple of pulls and on the last run the rpms shot up and I got a code 2E77 nlts code.

My question is would this code be normal and nlts not working sometimes? Also should I leave the user adjustment D on 14. Could you guys also explain what the user adjustment D is?

Does a backend flash help with the bog I get in between shifts I feel like the bog really slows down the car?

Thanks for the help...

FUD=14 was the old firmware setting to verify the clutch wire signal is being recieved by the JB4 (shown under FP_L), the new firmware setting for that is FUA = 51. This has nothing to do with the operation of the 2STEP/NLS itself.

*FUD N54 Twin Turbo Firmware
************************************************** ************************

bit0 - Disable steering wheel controls.
bit1 - Disable wastegate adaption.
bit2 - Use water temp in place of oil temp for warm up safety.
bit3 - Disable open loop fuel learning.
bit4 - Enable meth input Aquamist algorithm where 0-100% flow = .5v -
4.5v input.
bit5 - Show bank2 fuel trims under timingAVG.
bit6 - Disable FF RPM gain so duty bias RPM gain can be manually set
more precisely.
bit7 - Alternative anti-rattle algorithm

FUA Twin Turbo Firmware:

0-50 - Lock in a differential between DME target and ECU PSI to reduce
the throttle safety. 0 = default operation. 26 units per PSI. e.g. a
value of 26 would dampen throttle safety an addl psi. This value will
also reduce effective load reported back to the DME by that amount.
For diagnostic purposes only.

51 - Output clutch position under low fuel pressure. For troubleshooting NLS.
52 - Alternative E85 cold start / cranking fuel algorithm
54 - Output 2STEP output PID under low fuel pressure.
55 - Fueling applied as a function of actual boost rather than delta
over stock target. Useful for 335is models using E85 without a back
end flash map.
56 - Output road speed instead of low fuel pressure.
57 - Output 4BAR learned adaption value instead of low fuel pressure.
58 - Change DB25#2 from methanol output to E85 analyzer input.

1st/2nd/3rd gear traction control. When enabled, hold volume up or
channel down if you need to disable (for doing a burn out, etc).

So should I set it back to zero. So why does the nlts sometimes work and other times the rpms shoot up and I get a code? I double checked everything is installed properly. Is the nlts not consistent for everyone else?
