how to run e85

what does it take to run e85 besides the jb4? would mixing 85 with 91 (having a jb4) blow my fuel pump? if its do able, would you recommenced upgrading the fuel pump?

Start by adding 30% E85. Switch JB4 to map 5. Done.

For higher mixtures of E85 you'll need to upgrade your LPFP and add a back-end flash.

The stock pump starts to crap out around 40% ethanol (E40). I'd start with 30% ethanol (not 30% E85 as mentioned above) and do a log and see how the LPFP pressures look.

My pump was right on the edge with E40 so I upgraded to the Fuel-It Stage 2 pump just to be safe.

I would start with 20% E85 not 30% ... We need to know how healthy your fuel pumps are before putting more pressure on them

i wouldn't rely on the jb4 by itself to run e85. ideally you'll want a backend flash or mhd flash.

E85 will not blow your fuel pump. The stock pump just can't keep up with the higher fuel demand required when running a mix. I have run E30 on the stock fuel pump and all the way to E65 with a stage 1 pump.
