Front License Plate and Toll Roads

Hey guys,

I'm not sure where to post this but I suppose it's cosmetic so here we go.

I commute to work by toll road but I don't want to mount of the front plate for obvious cosmetic reasons. I live in southern california so cops are kind of sticklers for front plates. Has anyone had any problems not running their front plate in the toll road where they actually take photos of your plates? Thanks for the input guys!

I'm in Jersey and we also need a front plate. I refuse to put one on unless I keep getting stopped regularly. I have had my car for 15 months and been pulled over once. I was ticketed for improper display/fictitious plates or something like that. I just paid the fine. If it ever becomes too much I will use the towing eye plate mount. Until then I will take my chances.

OP, I probably run the same toll roads you do (73, 241, 261) and have not run a front plate for the last 14 years. The toll roads never fail to bill me. <grin>

Thanks for the feedback guys! I think my main concern was if Toll Roads had the jurisdiction work with local PD to send me a no front plate ticket based off the picture they take.

No front plate it is then!

I could be wrong but I believe they all take photos of back plates. Think about it if PA car in NJ and they did front plate it wouldn't read anything even though the car was perfectly legal. Said another way back plate is the only commonality between every state.
