xHP Flashtool - ZF 6HP21 TCU Tuning

Saw this posted on N54Tech. Looks like custom TCU tuning will soon be possible in early 2017.

Quote:
as some of you might have noticed, the N54/N55 platform will soon be blessed with a solution to flash the 6AT. Whoever has lots of time, can read up the whole story how this evolved here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1125073

For those, with not that much time, here are the facts:
The 6HP21/6HP28 TCU has been cracked
The tool is named xHP Flashtool and will run on Android platform
Besides from OTS maps (Comfort, Sport, Race) a lot of things will be tuneable through xdf/TunerPro support
All you need is an old Android phone/USB-OTG Adapter and INPA cable
Price for the Flash Module will be around 100 USD
Planned Release Date for N54 platform is March 2017

We're currently searching for beta testers. Beta Phase will probably start 1 month earlier. Everyone, who wants to participate, should bring the following with him:
N54/N55 with 7591972 TCU. That means, a TCU that can take the Alpina flash. Older versions have different memory layout and are sadly not supported.
Good knowledge of INPA/NCSEXPERT/WinkFP. That means, flashing your car with WinkFP, or coding your EGS shouldn't be an issue for you.
Car in good shape. That means, a proper working setup and your 6AT shouldn't be beaten to death already by slipping the whole day at 30 psi.
No ECU hacks, like bent Torque curves. Shouldn't be necessary anymore in the future.

Whoever wants to participate, just reply or write me a PM. Some demo videos (not N54, but same TCU ) are available on Youtube!

Haha, thats funny. The whole project started on E90Post (see Diesel section, Transmission Tuning - Let's do it ourselves) but it takes a post on N54Tech to get awareness from other groups here. ))

So if you have alpina flash you need to reflash to stock, to get this flash?

Would this allow me to code my car to always start from second and only shift to first if I manually do it?

I find first gear extremely annoying like most people and even with a full car it still feels unnecessary.

I have a GoPro, 2009 335i and can do basic EGS coding. I do have a tablet+computer & cable that would let me code my car. If you still want Beta testers let me know.

Any interest in an E60 535xi? I think it's the same engine and transmission. Running the sports auto software right now, but it's otherwise stock

If you have an automatic and what firmer, faster shifts and better shift points etc etc. It sounds like they are still discovering tables and what not so who knows what the future will bring.

For those not following on Facebook, here again the link to our first Demo for the N57 Race cal:

N54/N55 will of course be quicker on shifts compared to Diesel, but the video gives a good impression where the journey goes.
