Dash cam recommendations
Hey y'all,
I'm currently in the market for a dash cam for my M2. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I'd love to hear your thoughts and see which dash cams you are currently using. I have heard great things about the BlackVue DR650S, was wondering if anyone has used this camera or any others. Also I was wondering if anyone has hardwired their dash cams. I'm using the Street Guardian Remote sgzc12rc with the base unit in the glove box. "Remote" meaning, the base unit w/ screen and processor is separate from the camera. I don't think anyone sells a smaller camera, which was important as I didn't want a clunky cam on the windshield.

Be aware there's a high chance your BlackVue dashcam will screw up your digital radio (DAB) reception. Mine did. There's lots of info about it via a web search.

Installed my DR650s-2ch hard wired through a Safer S over the weekend. Works great so far. Have it connected to a wifi hotspot I keep mounted in armrest so I can get remote notifications.

On amazon I bought a top view 360* camera from top view for $150. Takes 3d video or 2d. Put it hanging from middle of inside of car and put on loop mode.

Picked one up and it's been good. I didn't hard-wire it. The cable was long enough to route it back to the cigarette outlet in the trunk. The cable was easy enough to be hidden behind all the trims. Whole think took me about 10 mins, and I'm mechanically challenged.

Can you provide more details on how you hard wired it alongside your Escort?

How do you like the passport max? Has it worked well with Laser?

So far I like it. I upgraded from a passport 8500 x50. Its a big improvement, laser seems to be doing its job I really like the auto store feature for false signals.
