PPK + Straight Pipe = Profit

Recently, I got my car remotely coded by Joe@TopGearSolutions and it was worth every penny I paid for it. The PPK flash sounds amazing with a straight pipe. It's a 2011 BMW 335i LCI N55 FBO +JB4 and a true straight pipe from the turbo back. Here's a video. Please excuse the orientation and quality of the video as my buddy filmed it

If you pause at 5 seconds and slow the video down you can see fire

Not a fan of the excessive burble, but that is merely my opinion.

The straight pipes are not my thing, I prefer to activate those benefits with a vacuum cutout or wastegate. But I'm glad you are enjoying it!

One thing you can write home about, is that you did not spend much on your exhaust!

Wait straight pipe as in just muffler? Because I have BMS downpipe and muffler delete and I feel like yours is louder

That's gotta be obnoxious after about the first 5 minutes of goofing around with it. At least you like it.

I have a Catless DP and no mufflers. My N55 LCI has no secondary cats or resonators from the factory. All you need to do to "straight pipe" it is to have a catless DP and no mufflers.

That's why the PPK's burbles only happens when you use manual mode

They happen in auto as well. The car is programmed to crackle more in sport mode.

If you use MHD you can customise it more, there's one slider for sport mode and one for regular, so you could completely disable them when not in sport mode if you want.
The car will still let out the odd burble though, that's just the nature of it. I've gone back to stock on mine temporarily, and I still notice the odd crackle.

Glad you're enjoying it! Wished I could do the same for my N54 without the assistance of MHD.

I don't think I could deal with the volume, fumes, or the crackles.

On the contrary, I did the PPK and DP specifically for the volume, fumes, and crackles hahah

And it really doesn't make much noise in regular D mode, it's very very faint unless you're racing in D mode which... why would you. Stock PPK or even with my MHD flash, the only time I really hear it is in manual mode.

This is the more popular reason people tend to do it

Yeah the only reason I wanted to do it is because I had the option to enable and disable the crackles on the fly
