Replacement mounting hardware for FMIC?

Just got my 5" stepped VRSF intercooler and the OEM screws aren't long enough to get enough threads to keep it secure. I know a few people mentioned they went to Lowes to get different mounting hardware, can anyone point me in the right direction? I never got any type of mounting hardware with my FMIC in the package. I did get the silicone hoses and t-bar worm gears, but right now, I don't feel like my FMIC is secure enough.

Do you have the rubber bushings that came with the kit?

Nope. I got:

* Intercooler itself
* 2 silicone hoses
* 4 t-bar clamps

That's it. I think I found the mounting hardware on Lowes' website:
Hillman Group .25" x 2.25" Zinc Plated Hanger Bolts

There should be two screws in the box, they're number #2339 on boltdepot.com if you need a reference

Unfortunately the hex screw in the hands of a novice will result in the plastic striping if too much force is applied. It's the reason we switched to a regular philips head.

Take the stock screws to your local hardware store and just get the same thing that's slightly longer. Home Depot might have them too if you don't have a real hardware store.

Looked in the box, couldn't find them. Might have went missing during transport. It was early Christmas present to myself, and I was effing excited.

That's my plan. I found hanger bolts and was planning on putting a couple of small bushings in between if I couldn't find the longer ones. I'm afraid it'll fall. But, everyone who already has it installed probably hasn't had that happen.

Use hanger bolts; you can get them on Amazon. Length, diameter, etc. have been discussed in the past if you feel like searching for it.

No worries Tiago. I'll run to the hardware store and pick up some bolts. Thank you for the gesture though. I'm really happy with the quality of it.

I thought about those, too. I can get those at my local hardware store. Get hanger bolts, a couple of rubber bushings, two nuts to screw it into the housing, and then a washer and nut to secure the FMIC, yes?

I'd upgrade to stainless steel if you're making the trip anyways. I ran to Lowes, matched the screws there.

As mentioned, going with stainless hardware is probably a worthy upgrade here.

Got the SS #14 x 1.5" bolts plus 6 washers. They didn't have any #14 1.25" and I needed washers anyway so I put a couple in with the bolt and viola!

Lowes was completely out of stock of the SS hanger bolts, else I would have bought those. No stores nearby had them, and the zinc ones look like pure trash.

Same here. That's why I went with Amazon.
