Talking Burger Tuning B58 Oil Catch Can Now Available!

EDIT: OCC now Available!

Hey guys,

We're preparing to release an oil catch can kit for the B58 motor. Molded hose samples are in and we're doing the final testing. We've noticed a decent amount of oil in the chargepipe coming through the PCV system so we're hoping for N54 like benefits. Now that the production ready kit is on the car we'll be driving the crap out of it to evaluate.

The OCC requires a BMS intake since we place the OCC in the airbox next to the filter.

what kind of benefits are we talking about besides the oil buildup on the valves? I know on the pentastar (yes MOPAR) motors it would lean out the motor so was a good thing to have.

Any reason for this on the B58 motor? Didn't think the newer engines needed these..

Agreed...didn't even need it on the N55. I think this was more of an issue with n54s...

Burger tuning testing is showing that the B58 is similar to the N54 in terms of the oil issue in the charge pipe

Significant NEWS!

WOW!
.
.
On my N54 I had the Burger OCC which looks identical and was easy to install and I only checked it at each oil change. Where I would find some oil but only a couple of teaspoons full . But I had also installed a RB PCV valve and had just replaced my valve cover gasket -- all of which influence the amount of oil captured.
.
I would recommend this free flowing catch can although it is Significant News that the B58 (Could) need an OCC when the N55 was certainly an improvement over the N54 in this regard.
.
Capture that oil -- it does bad things.

Do you know if this will require cutting the engine cover as it did on the n55?

You do not need to cut the engine cover but you do need the BMS intake for a proper fitment

Do you have an install guide by chance? BMS doesn't have it on their website at the moment (that I saw).
