i have searched (powder coat) and out of all the threads, i found 4 threads that got my attention with all of them being unanswered.

Questions:
1. powder coat>paint in terms of everything (durability, longetivity, chip resistence, etc?
2. powder coat weakens rims and causes higher possible shatter/crack on potholes, bumps, etc from the heating and curing process? (miro csl in this case)
3. costs $100-110 per on average so getting 80-90 hits the spot.
4. are miro csl cast wheels?

to answer your questions:

1. powdercoating or painting, one is not greater than the other. it is all in the prep work.....imo. powdercoating in theory should last longer, but i think paint can last just as long as you take care of it.
2. when heating/cooling a wheel, it changes the characteristics of some wheels depending on the alloy used. for powdercoating sake, you should be ok, I haven't heard of many wheels failing b/c they've been powdercoated
3. pricing depends on the area, and of course who you know. honestly, to strip a wheel costs around 10 bucks each, and powdercoating an entire wheel should cost anywhere from 50-90.....but then again it all depends on your location. here in so. cal, there's plenty of powdercoating places......

^ thanks man. based on the link #3, and since the miro are cast and based on zoeb@wheeldude as per he says "Don't powercoat cast wheels. It exposes the wheels to temperatures they were not designed to handle and can cause weakness."

so powdercoating miros are out of the question completely? damn it why is it that all the types and rims solutions i want that look amazing simply don't work
