What's up guys, new i8 owner here. I've been lurking on the threads for a few weeks and finally got myself into an i8 last month.

I have seen some posts regarding tinting windows and how some shops refuse to do it on the i8 due to some issue regarding the windows or there's exorbitant charges for tinting the car if they do go ahead and tint it. I'm inclined to take it to the same shop that has tinted all my previous cars but for those of you who have tinted your car, I've got a few questions:

1) Where are you located? (I'm in Northern Nj)
2) What type of tint was used? (for those of you who used ceramic tints, have you noticed any changes in your radar's accuracy?)
3) How much did you pay

I'm from NJ too. I go to Tropic Tint. They are more expensive than other places, but they always have Ferraris, AMGs, Lambos, etc. there. They also do ALL the state police window tints.

I have ceramic tints on my car.

Another vote for Tropic Tinting...I have not tinted the I8 but they did a fantastic job on another car.
