Exclamation F90 M5 design revealed via leaked CAD files (updated with renderings)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Updated with renderings based on the CAD files:

Cammed & Tubbed Podcast, claims that they received this leaked CAD file image of the F90 M5 from an unnamed BMW employee:

Quote:
A source inside BMW has leaked to me CAD files of the new [F90] BMW M5, specifically the front and rear bumpers. While the rear bumper is standard fare for BMW’s newer M cars like the F8x M2/M3/M4, the front bumper is much more subdued and less aggressive.

Not bad at all!

Matches up with the spy photos that revealed the front bumper shape:

I asked this before and will ask again. How come the new 5 series is called G30 and this one is F90? I keep seeing this so I'm wondering what I am missing here.

Nice find. I like the rear end a lot. I'm underwhelmed by the front bumper, but it still remains to be seen. WAY too early to pass judgement.

Correct.
The M5 is too classy for that boy-racer stuff.

It'll have M mirrors. They've already been spotted on prototype M5, along with a carbon roof.

why is this called the f90? no m5 from any previous generation has had a different model designation than the non M cars. (e34, e39, e60, and f10) so why now?

More conservative, not straying too far from M-Sport - middle air duct a bit larger. Thank god no fangs, just simple openings for air.

The rear is a copy of the f80 m3 or is it only me who sees the resemblance?

Simply because all new M Cars beginning with F80 and F82 have their own model designations ... in an ongoing numbering beginning with F80 !!!

Because in the past, there were very few major design difference between them with only a few exceptions and far more design proposals were considered. Today, the M's have quite different exterior components and are folllowing their own sequences.
