How do I shift, my car is unreliable :( did trump win the debate

So I want to put the 328i into manual mode soon. I haven't drove a manual before, so I'm worried about missing a gear and blowing the engine or something. Any tips or tutorials on how to do this efficiently?

Additionally, I have a question: are black kidney grills OEM with the M-sport package, or is this car modded?

Also, my windows are really electronically messed up on my brand new CPO car. When I put them down, they're either super slow, or they just don't work. And when I try to put them up, they go the opposite way. I'm wondering if this was missed in the CPO, or maybe the car is missing insulation, and when they washed it when it was bought, water went and squeegeed into all the electronics

17000 miles if you're wondering and it helps!

For the transmission, it will shift by itself if you miss the shift, or rev it too high, so no worries there.

The black kidneys are, I believe OEM with the M-Sport package.

As far as the windows go, just take it back to the dealer and have them look at it. While you're there you could also ask on some tips and tricks for your car. I've had mine for going on 3 years now, and I'm still finding new things on it, so you can always have them guide you on things if you're unsure about something.

Ahh, thanks for the reply man! Hopefully the windows get fixed, same thing happened to my E46 aha. Yeah man I'll ask my dealership for some cool tricks, you got any you wanna tell me in advance? This car is so awesome man, I love F30's!

Black kidney grilles aren't standard with any package--they are an accessory. M-Sport has gloss black slats, but not black trim rings.

Or they replaced them with non OEM black grilles...

No need in using the word retard...it is offensive and shows ignorance.

I thought you already asked the question and was answered about your windows in another thread....take it back to the dealer. That is the entire point of CPO.

Why do people ask the same questions over and over in different threads on the same sub-forum? Are they expecting a different answer or didn't like the answers they received before?

Agreed.

And further, not having any idea how to shift solidifies it

While they aren't standard on any package, the black kidney surrounds aren't necessarily dipped or non-OEM; they're likely the authentic M Performance Kidney grills, an OEM accessory, on a CPO car.

Have your parents take it to the dealership to get it checked.

Make sure to thank them for getting you such a nice car while you're at it.

....or bought OEM black kidney grilles from BMW. Especially on a CPO.

No need to use language here that is insulting and offensive, and hasn't been acceptable in over 20 years.

LOL.

Had the email contained 'U', 'urs', and any other text abbreviation, I'd agree..but it didn't. Post was fine until a later reply using retard. I hate that word as well...guessing lesson learned by OP for future submissions.

Do a little research, you might change "ur" mind.

You might try and re-initialize the windows by pushing the switch to open them and, once they are fully open, keep pushing the switch for an additional 15-20 seconds. Then pull the switch until the windows are fully closed. There is also an anti-trap feature that prevents the windows from closing if it senses an obstruction in its path.

These are kind of people (referring to the OP) that give BMW drivers a bad rap.

Just an FYI for you all; going manual in Sport+ you will be on your own, computer will NOT shift. All other modes will have it intervene before rev limiter.

So, you should worry.

Mine does shift for me in sport or sport+ if I miss it. It may be different with the diesels though.
