Roof Box Dilemma
Hi all.
I have a 2014 F31 M-Sport in Alpine White and I'm looking to get a roofbox for travelling around. I currently have Thule Wingbars with Thule foot packs. The main purpose would be to move the bulkier items (especially golf clubs in a stand bag) out of the boot, and onto the roof. I think i've narrowed my search down to two possible candidates, but I was wondering if anyone on the forums has experience with either. The two are: Thule Dynamic L 800 Yakima Skybox 16 Carbonite Heights are 34cm for the Thule and 40cm for the Yakima. Does anyone have the Thule (in particular) and access to a golf stand bag that could possible test for me? (or vice versa... a golf bag with access to a Thule Dynamic L 800). Pics attached. Comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Feng |

I have a Thule Dynamic 900, I have no problem to fit a stand bag or even two.
But those bags probably come in slightly different sizes, also I dont know the difference between the Dynamic 800 and 900. A photo of my Dynamic 900. |

Thanks for the reply. Main difference is length. Only 1cm height difference.
Could I trouble you to post a pic of yours mounted? I'm interested in the front overhang. Also, is there much clearance once you put the bags in? Thanks a bunch |

This was the closest I found, and also remember my car is a F11 (5 Series Touring). |

ahhh awesome! that's what i was looking for... proportion of the Dynamic 800 against a F31 would be about the same as a Dynamic 900 against a F11.
Thanks! That being said, I have to get my car fixed now just had an accident... so roofbox is on hold for a bit... |
