Temp Controls

Evening!

A chap at my dealer thought there is a way to to sync the 2 temperatures so that when you change the driver side it automatically changes the passenger side.

He thought something like pressing and holding the AUTO button, but i haven't had any luck - Any ideas?

Many Thanks

Whenever I'm in the x5 and then get back into the 4GC I always miss that bloody sync button. Ridiculous BMW never added that simple capability to the air controls in the 3/4 series.

Totally agree! Had it in my E92 and it was a useful function. I assumed that the 4 would have it too..... well, you've also answered my question. Any idea if it can be coded?

One method would be to place an elastic band around both knobs (connected). Et voila, synched sides :-D

Photos to follow....

F15 or F10 and above required it seems. Really it never bothers me, more of a visual thing.

Well £100 is standard colour. The M-stripes add on £50. And they must be fitted by a approved BMW fitter, which will be £79+VAT for fitting. They also need re-adjusting and servicing monthly, £39+VAT per time.

1 per customer only.

Yep, I'll have one. And I'm guessing as they are M colours it will drop my 0-60 and increase BHP?

I guess they have it to help distract the driver from how butt-fugly those monstrosities are.

My bloody E92 had it.

Sorry, but there is prior art. Pictures of the 'sync band' have all ready been shown in the public domain, including this forum in similar topics. You may get a registered design for the M-performance sync band type, if you act fast. Just watch out that BMW don't say you are infringing their specific colour palette.
