Rattling Noise Coming From Rear Panel Under Passenger Window

I have an on again-off again rattle/clunk from the rear passenger side. When I lightly "knock" the panel under the rear passenger side window (the one with the 2 speakers) it sounds very similar to what I hear when I am driving over rough surfaces. No so for the drivers side. I know this is vague but is anyone experiencing something similar ?

I have a 428 coupe.

It's still under warranty - I would take it in to the dealer; but then again, that rattle/clunk won't happen when you are there, never fails - must be some kind of law.

I've already taken a ride with the Shop Foreman. Of course: SILENCE.

Lol. Same experience with my rattles, although they did fix the driver door rattle that was related to the shadowline trim (fixed with Teflon tape). Other rattles have been hit or miss with the dealer being able to "recreate" them.

That said, if the dealer isn't going to replicate it or take your word for it, take it to a trusted body shop. It might be out of pocket, but I know how obnoxious annoying rattles can be, and it might worth it. My guess is a component is loose inside the door, and just needs some sticky, heavy duty tape or something similar applied.

You could also DIY (taking the door panel off is pretty straightforward honestly), just make sure you buy a bunch of retaining clips in bulk before you start. Ask me how I know!

Best of luck
