Only you can really answer that for yourself. But on the 335 it seems like tons of people got the MPPK while relatively few got the LSD. And on an xDrive it's not like you'll have issues putting power to the ground without the LSD. So I think you'll be fine with just MPPSK.
To me the bigger issue is the xDrive suspension already feels soft relative to the power the car puts out stock. |

Thanks I appreciate that. I do have xDrive, but I live in Chicago so I'm a little concerned about icy road conditions in winter. FWIW I have the THP and Adaptive M Suspension - it doesn't feel soft to me in Sport/Sport+... is that the one you were referring to or were you commenting on the non-adaptive suspension?

I'm considering the MPPSK as well. But I think I'll hold off for a few months and let the rest of you be the guinea pigs. If the reviews here are favorable, and there aren't complains about droning sound issues, then I'll jump on it. (also have xDrive with track package)

I don't think the 35hp or so on the MPPSK will be enough to make a difference in terms of winter handling, that's more about running proper tires and your winter driving style, in my opinion. I think you'll be ok.
I have adaptive as well. I'm coming from an A4 with aftermarket coilovers and swaybars so I'm used to a pretty stiff suspension. Even with adaptive there is too much body roll for my taste. Still fun to drive, but needs some work. That's just my view though. |

Is MPPSK worth it? It's relative but I bought my 340 outright and for me the not messing up my warranty even though thats not likely to happen part out weighs any potential problem from something like a JB4. MPPSK is worth it to me. Also pretty sure LSD is not an option for xDrive.

Thanks all. My dealer is offering me a 10% discount off of MSRP currently. Definitely debating. Has anyone seen pics of the stainless steel tips? I'd probably go with carbon fiber anyway but I'd like to compare. Can't seem to find that anywhere.

I think you are correct sir, Jason's original post from 11-4-15 about the MPPSK says no LSD for xDrive 340i but the accessories configurator on BMW's website certainly offer's one, PN 33108659989 for auto trans like mine. Now I have a tough decision to make, which one to do first?

I'd say the LSD would be more focused on track driving where the limited-slip would give you better balance through the turns. For everyday driving, the LSD isn't necessary, although it certainly would be nice to have.

Nice pics Cruz!
If I do it I'll just go MPPSK without LSD. My dealer is quoting me ~$3300 before tax for parts and labor with stainless tips based on 3.5 hours of install time. Seems steep to me so I might sit out for a bit. |

Its going cost around 4k including labor....Dealers charge 180/hr for install...and you can't take it to indy mechanic due to the software installs.
Price too high for small output.

Assuming their labor rate is $150 then that is actually not a bad deal on the parts, like $2,775 vs. MSRP ~$3100 and getbmwparts ~$2700 shipped. I've seen the install instructions and it seems to me that 2hrs is more reasonable for install time though. . .
