Only thing I can think of is Wheel Wax, a product that is designed specifically for wheels. I'd put at least 2 coats on, if not more. Since the wheels will get warm due to heat from the brakes, there's not too many things that would stay on the painted surface. The optimal choice would be to purchase winter wheels and tires, but that'll set you back more than a jar of the aforementioned wax.
Anything else would be likely to melt or peel off...or, worse yet, get brine underneath (between it and the wheel's surface) and hold it there.

I didn't feel Wheel Wax did anything my regular wax didn't do. Sealants offer more durability/longevity. RejeX is one, but there are many others. ArmorAll has/had an aerosol product that got good reviews, but the name has changed from Wheel Protectant to Outlast Brake Dust Repellant - could be a different formula now.

Why not just get replica wheels and winter tires? Replica rims can be had for around $600-750.
Also you save money on mounting tires in existing rims and the wear and tear on repeated mountings. |

This:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It really works. I've had it on my wheels for 6 months, they still look the same as the day I put it on. When I pull them to rotate them I'm going to apply it to their insides as well. |

Opticoat them. Lasts for years. End of thread.
The waxes will just diminish in a few weeks or months. The ceramic coating will last many times longer. Water beads off. It's easier to clean and you will have to worry less about salt and crap.

I assume you are putting winter tires on them? Snow and salt won't hurt your wheels unless they get curbed and finish is scratched. Do yourself a favour and get winter set up. Pays for its elf over 3-4 years and MUCH safer in Stouffville.
