M235i MPE WILL fit the M240i

Product bulletin update from reputable dealer here in the UK

Quote:
I have just received a confirmation Email from BMW Product Marketing that confirms the M135i MPE WILL fit the M140i

The main difference apparently is the M Performance Logo

Even if this is true "will fit" is different than BMW releasing a part number for a new model.

Obviously.

FYI BMW have separate part nr for m240i MPE but supply throughout EU is late/limited and priced 25% higher than m235i so some folks now can choose the M235i MPE for their M240i sooner and for less dinero....

Is there info on the official release of the part number in Europe? While the part appeared in the ETK (shared with the 340i), it still seems that it has not been released in the US.

Got a message from dealer that exhaust we are speaking about is for F30/32 what won't be a problem, but problem is a diffusor.
For $1000 (+-) is M235i exhaust + diffusor, but the F30/32 is for 1000USD just exhaust.

If MPE tips are too long for M240i std diffuser and you dont want to buy MP diffuser, then cut back tips before installing MPE so as you have flush tips with std diffuser

I got the diffuser and are installing the extension kit with the chrome tips so they stick out properly until I can get a hold of the MPE for the M240i.
