Does the 435d engine suffer from tip in delay acceleration?

I have a love hate relationship with our F30 320d. Foot to floor at lights and nothing. A second later or more... Everything! It is bloody dangerous when trying to move off a junction quickly. I have been eyeing up a 435d X Drive Coupé and wondered whether they too suffer from delayed acceleration?

You don't buy an expensive car to put lot's of money on top to correct acceleration delay.

Thanks

All turbo-charged cars suffer from turbo lag.

This is not lag from the turbo. This is BMW's retarded DME settings I am talking about that are the very reason BMW lost sales in 2012 when there was no fix at the time.

I thought BMW was known instead for making twitchy throttles that make smooth take offs difficult...
