MPPK installed. Thoughts!
Got the MPPK installed this week. Notice what seems like noticeable power gains, also given I was driving a 428i loaner for an entire 2 weeks (had to replace the DME apparently for me to get the MPPK [08/12 build].
That being said the gauges are updated to 400/400 yet they never exceed 300 when pinning the throttle. I know they are 'entertainment' for the driver. But it does concern me if they the tune was done properly. I am noticing burbling below 2500 without the MPE when letting off the throttle. Anyone want to tell me I'm crazy and the gauges not exceeding the 300 of 400 as being 'irrelevant'? |

I'd be questioning if it was actually programmed then. I'd assume the max value would match what the MPPK is rated for.
On the 340's, the max gauge value is 400/400, so you might be just seeing a general software upgrade to the car, and not have the tune portion... |

They should show over 300 in WOT operation.

I know the LCI has the default gauges set to a 400/400 scale. It sounds like the car got a firmware update that changed the scale values but not the tune to match (the firmware with the tune would have the max "fun" numbers changed from 300/300). Give 'em hell.... you paid for it. |

For 2013 335i with PWG, the MPPK adds 20 HP. Those gauges aren't really representative of true HP, but rather what the computer thinks it should read depending on throttle opening and engine load. There's a thread about that in this forum.

Yes, but his should show the "real", "faked" number though. If it's showing the normal stock numbers, then it sounds like the firmware wasn't upgraded with the new tune.
