Burnt engine bay smell?
Is it just me or do I smell what's in the engine bay if I don't turn on the AC? I have 2013 335i so I don't think it's that grease everyone talks about. Anyone else smell the same thing?

After 3 1/2 years with my 2013 335i, I've never smelled anything other than the seat leather. No smell from the engine bay. It's possible that it's leftover cosmoline that didn't get cleaned up. Have you had the car checked for any oil leaks from the valve cover or anywhere else?

Its so weird, I still have the same smell. It does smell like engine bay or maybe oil. But is that normal to smell what ever is getting sucked up from the front if your vent is open? I'll probably just complain and maybe the dealership will thoroughly look through the engine bay. Anyone have the same problem?

I have the same smell. tried everyting to get rid of it, cleaned the carpets a dozen times, removed the seats and cleaned up under there, used autoglym leather cleaner and then conditioner multipul times. so its not anything inside the car, Has the motor steam cleaned, top sides and bottom, no oil, Greece, tranny fluid, Nothing, I have no idea how that smell is getting into the car.. spraying a sent into the air vents outside the car is fine, but dosent fix the problem, it just masks it, And it dosent smell like mold from the ac unit.. so if someone knows please advise.
