Just got back from my vacation so I finally took time to install the JB+. I was going to see what Dinan was going to release, but I figured what the heck, it's only $199, if I don't like it I can resell it. Was super happy with my JB4 on my M5 and Burger always has high quality, NO issues. First off they LIED about the 60 second install. It took me 80 seconds because I contemplated 20 sec. about the possibility of breaking the plug. But it was an incredibly easy install. I always instinctively put my lil' beast in Sport+ as soon as I start up, but because I swore I screwed up the install (it was too easy!), I just drive away. Initially I thought ok, it's got a decent increase, especially for the price. But then I realized my exhaust was quieter than normal. Put it in Sport+ mode, idiot! O.M.G. This thing came absolutely ALIVE! Especially midrange and above. That was my main complaint, that the engine thrust would "peter out" over 5500 rpm. But now it pulls HARD to redline. And my ECU hasn't even adapted yet! Now full disclosure, I am running the Active Autowerke intercooler with 93 octane gas, but DAMN, this thing HAULS now! Absolutely INCREDIBLE value at this price point. Now I may still go with another tune, but it had better offer a lot more ROI than this thing offers.

Use the same one on the X4 lol and prob get a JB4 for the M2 (or vice versa) ? Thinking of flash tuning yet?

1 of my friends from West Palm Beach use to live in PA and got his 335 Tuned Stage1 and then FBO by https://www.instagram.com/Eurodynamic/
https://www.instagram.com/CBTuningeuro last november and they might be up your alley (PA and CT) or closer to you than others.
He just got an M3 and drove up to get it tuned 1 week later lol.

Then there's also Alex@ACF from @ACFPerformance

Another friend of mine sold his M235 FBO for a Cadillac ATS-V and sold me his OBD2 JB4 lol so I only got it because of the huge savings.. Been playing with it in map1 and 2, its a nice bump but the real benefit is when I add E85 to increase octane and keep temps a bit lower. I prob need a FMIC asap since my IAT sky rocket in this weather to 170F

Here I am against bryan_f22 another F22 friend FBO/M235/Flash Tuned/395whp 440wtq Dynojet car , I was on E20 blend and map2... I'm missing the EWG wire add-on "Those who are using only map 1 may not want to bother. Those who plan to run map 2 or higher will benefit. Those who want to use race gas, meth, E85, etc, will see a huge benefit."
So I just ordered this and will be the final testing before I get a Backend Flash and use JB4 to control boost.

Very interesting. I too was going to hold off, but at this price point, why not? Especially since BMS is refunding me for their intake. It's essentially an even exchange.

I'm considering this or the " Speedbuster " for when I get my car in a couple of weeks as I like the simplicity factor.

Does the car feel as linear compared to stock ? and any robbing the bottom end to get that thrust over 5500 rpm or is it just more of everything ?

From Terry Burger in response to my email asking about tuning the M2

"Minimal gains tuning an m2 on 91 octane. Maybe 10-15hp. Mix in octane booster or e85 and it's another story."

So, if like me you don't have access to 93 and don't want to mess with complicated mods and fuel mixing, it looks like tuning is not much of an option.

Correct, no good tuning solutions for M2 when using 91
If no access to 93 then add 2-3 gal of e85 (as do most that live in 91 area) to increase octane and you will be good tuning area.

So mix in some E85 with standard 91 and it gives you 93(ish)??? Are there any downsides of using/mixing e85 for the car?

http://www.georgebelton.com/E85Calculator.php use this calculator
on the left start with 2 gal and on the right input your gas level

e85 downsides are a myth to keep fossil fuel companies
if increasing octane , burning cooler, keeping temps a lil lower and adding more power is not a downside then theres none really
its being used across many engines especially when tuned

Is an intercooler upgrade necessary for this (or any of the tunes available)?

Did you use it as it came or did you turn up the additive adjustment inside?

Intercooler only needed for those that will be dragging/tracking or tuning the car. With JB+ prob not since anyone installing a jb+ just wants a mild tune or occasional bump.

Those that drag or track their cars will def be needing a Intercooler to keep temps lower and get better performance from the car. Flash tune or JB4 w/ EWG-add on for full control.

Intercooler is not mandatory for the tune, but for max performance we recommend upgrading the intercooler once you start pushing over stock boost

so installed the JB+ and it went very quickly on Monday but yesterday Friday I get a check engine light. I'm using 93, get my code reader out and a misfire code comes up and clear that but then get a code error and a F112 code up. So I disconnect the JB+ and take it off and the check engine light goes away. Any idea's before I reinstall??
