Front number/licence plate area.

Hi All,

I've been following / lurking for a little while now & I'm UK based.

Hopefully taking delivery this side of Christmas of my LBB M2.
I have already got certain little cosmetic mods lined up but one thing I'm not wanting to do is have holes in the front bumper for the number plate.
The dealer is aware & has made a note that it's to be stuck on only.

I'd prefer to find another way of mounting the plate as I'd like to remove it when attending events etc. I see in the states the tow hook mount but don't think that would suit the uk plate.
Could / would someone who has their M2, measure the angle on the front bumper where the plate sits. & how much room is there underneath this area ?

Looking into alternative mounts / options..

Ta

At least for US plates there's a bracket that mounts under the front lip. Either manual or power, but slides under and is hidden when not in use. I forget what it's called so you'd have to google and see if there is something similar that would work for you.

Your other option, which I've seen people do, is scan their plate and have it printed on vinyl. You could even try the kind that's not adhesive but sticks anyway so you could easily remove, but no idea how that would hold up vs the sticky stuff.

Thx BEM-S4,

Think I may have found what I was looking for in the Tow Hook / licence plate post in the M2 discussions thread.

Can someone measure the height of this area. I'm getting a vinyl sticker number plate and want to make sure it fits.

Can anyone please provide more details on this option? Does anyone know what it's called, or where I can read more about it? Does it work well? Thanks. -scr

Yeah, one of the Aussies did this. I think that is the coolest thing. Glad I don't need a front plate, but if I did, I'd be all over this option!
