Today I retrofitted QI wireless charger in my 435i. I didn't take step by step pics because it was a spontaneous mod. I installed it in that little compartment behind the cupholders, I removed the rubber pad and replaced it with a custom leather pad.

Love the shift knob...I need that for my F30!

Mod seems like a sweet idea too. I've got the snap adapter in my vehicle but I never use it due to the fact that I'd need to take my phone out of the case to have it hooked up.

I thought about getting the Snap adapter but I didn't like the fact that I couldn't take a quick glance at my phone without going through the armrest and plus it was too much money.

Agreed. I'd love to use it for music if I had a 160GB iPod Classic laying around, but then I'd be missing out on some of its primary functions (car antenna and phone functionality). I think BMW would have been better off just adding a second USB Port in the armrest. I mean, it's really not that often where I have to take a call on the bottom level of an underground parking garage

That's sweet! Only problem now is getting myself one of those 160GB iPods. The value on those things has skyrocketed now that they aren't in production anymore...
