Lights Flicker / Adaptive Light Issues

All,

I recently had my 2014 BMW 335i undergo some cosmetic repairs after one of my neighbors hit my car while attempting to park. In any case, the repairs took four days and when I picked the car up, I noticed two things.

First, the lights appeared to flickr, especially after the warm-up period. I will admit that the flickering lights lasted about 45 minutes and they appear normal again.

Second, the adaptive lights weren't working and wouldn't move with the steering wheel. After bringing it back, we found that when the headlight switch was placed to ON rather than AUTO, adaptive lights wouldn't work. However, if placed the AUTO, they do work. Is this correct? I feel like they should work no matter where the switch is in. The problem is that I can't remember if they used to work when placed to ON or not, as I always leave them in AUTO.

Your feedback would be appreciated!

Yes--the adaptive lights are only active in AUTO, not ON.

As to the flickering, you should get the car back to the body shop as soon as you can.

I plan on it. my schedule is such that I will y be able to bring the car in until Tuesday. That means I'll need to drive with flickering lights all weekend. I'm hoping they don't die during the week.
