Unboxing of the on3 Performance turbo kit
Hey guys I just wanted to throw some pictures up of the on3 turbo kit since there is basically nothing online about what they can bring to the table. The parts seem quality and well made. The welds look purty and not sloppy at all. I did decide to not get the intercooler with the kit because I already have an aftermarket one on my car. Here is the link for the kit:
http://www.on3performance.com/shop/b...-turbo-system/ Here is the parts list for the kit: Billet Plugs Factory Water Ports Billet Plugs For Factory Oil Supply Ports Billet Plugs For Turbo Water Drain Billet Plugs For Factory Turbo Oil Drain Custom Billet Oil Supply Fitting for New On 3 GT Series Turbo Custom Turbo Oil Restrictor Fitting Custom Billet Turbo Oil Drain (Into Engine Block) On 3 Performance 2pc SCH 10 304 Stainless Steel Turbo Manifold On 3 Performance Massive 7? FYI someone made just north of 530whp with their 61mm turbo on pump gas the other day. I can't wait to see what this kit is capable of with pump+Meth, and also on a pure e85 tune.

great post. I just wish they would get into making turbo-less twin scroll kits. They would move like hot cakes and most likely put JpWorkz out of business.

The practice itself isn't that unheard of when it comes to VSR balancing, I just found it interesting that there's hardly anything holding it together now...I'm obviously no expert though.

It's a $300 turbo and $300 wastegates. A pair of Tial 44 wastegates alone cost $100+ more than those combined. I think they should offer it with the junk and the good stuff. Why should one have to eat that $600 if they aren't going to use parts. Take that $600 off which brings it to $2100 then add Tial WGs and basic Precision turbo for $1700. That brings the cost to $3800 which is still good. Just not as good as it looks with the eBay grade turbos. For example DOC racing is $6000 ($5000 if they are still on promotional cost) but they use a $1750 BB turbo and $700 Tial wastegates. At the promotional price it would be $3150 with a $300 turbo and $300 WGs JP kit with journal bearing precision is like $3500. Subtract the difference in turbo and WG cost and the JP is actually several hundred cheaper if you can obtain it reliably.
