Hi all

My main question is if this software is able to display oil temp as part of the information available, as I am looking for a way to make this more easy to check. Cant find it in the product descriptions. As you know this is an app availble as part of the MPerformance parts catalogue.

I am not happy going into menus and hidden menus, as this takes time, and not happy either with the temp gauge we all have.

BTW...checked at the manufacturer site, and its remarcable less expensive than getting this through BMW (which at certain point...its not surprissing).

I have the M performance drive analyzer app.

It can do several measurements in real time but I don't believe that this data is always recorded.

I purchase mine from eBay for about $200 and j have seen vendors discount it as low as $140 from the original $400 retail price.

The iPhone version and the Android version are slightly different , one guess which one is better

Can the torque app show current gear

Does it need a a ELM327 obd11

Yes it uses a cheap ELM327 dongle. Dunno about showing gears, sorry.

It does show oil temp real time. I have this for iOS. works on my iphone and ipad

Yes Torue shows gear. You have to program in the gear ratios 1-6 T 1-7DDCT and thee final drive gear and use a torque "add on" that imo is better than torque called "racing meter."..Heres a vid i took a while ago in my e92 m3..sorry I didnt "have the gear ratios input so youll notice the "n" for nuetral displayed..

Dash Command also displays gear if you input ger n final drive ratio info...

an finally "Track addict" also logs gear telemetry on a video overlay...

All of these data log into a .csv file (comma seperated file)/spreadsheet) All are readabe by programs like race render to make videos with data overlays...Track addict is mde by HP Tuners the same company as race render so its easiest, however as you can see I didnt correct the gear which is very easy...

PS I also have drive analyzer and usually use that app to record the info then use race render to make my own gauge overlays.. DA 's connectivity and processing speed leaves the others in the dust.
