335is exhaust sounds amazing for first 30 seconds only

My 335is has stock exhaust and I've blocked the left exhaust valve open (golf tee mod). It sounds LIKE A MANIAC upon cold start up for about 30 seconds - barking, snarling, crackling, then it just mellows out and sounds normal. Of course I really like how it sounds when it's in that BEAST mode. Is it just running rich on start up and that's what I'm hearing or can I do something easy to keep that sound prolonged indefinitely?

Thanks.

Behold a person who enjoys cat warmup mode in his natural e90post habitat.

I need to make a locked tune that merges ghost cam with open gates and negative timing to really let her roar! Is there a market?

You'd be a bajillionaire from this forum alone.

I'm the opposite, I hate the rattle when I first start my 335is.

I love the sound of the exhaust once it warms up though.

I can't I agree more. The other night I backed in right up to my garage door. I started the car in the morning and about came in my pants with the sound echoing off the garage

Same! I always thought it sounded horrible in the morning when starting it up in my garage

I've heard so many people rave about the sound of exhaust on the 335is, mine is quiet after that initial 30 second warm up period. I drive under a double-decker bridge on the way home from work each day - it's an echo chamber - DCT gear-shift-pops get amplified, it's not very BMWish.
