CX Racing Intercooler
After numerous emails not willing to help/do anything about the terrible product from CX Racing, I have decided to write this thread to warn anyone looking to buy their intercooler kit. I purchased their kit for my 2009 335i E92 from Amazon(rlracingperformance) on June 18th, it was delivered on June 27th and I attempted to install it on July 8th.
I emailed CX Racing on July 8th explaining that neither mounting bracket nor the shroud align/match up with the tabs welded on the intercooler. There are other threads about this exact problem I discovered after the attempt to install. I also told them about a missing coupler(2.75") and meth bung cap. I received a reply email on July 11th asking for photos. I sent the photos via email that same day (July 11th). On July 14th I had not heard from CX Racing so I sent an email asking the status (no reply). Another email was sent on the 15th asking about the status again and received an email saying they can not find my order in their system. I explain that I ordered their product from an authorized vendor on the same day. On July 19th I again ask about the status and I am told I have to go through rlracingperformance and they can not help me. During all of this waiting and limited help from CX Racing I was trying to contact/work with rlracingperformace as well with emails. they responded asking for pictures, I send them and then nothing further... The point to this thread is to WARN anyone looking to purchase a CX Racing intercooler.... Buy another intercooler to save yourself these troubles, or piece together the "kit" like others have done. The intercooler doesn't suppress IAT's very well either, which makes me even more bitter. |

I think this is almost common knowledge that the CX Racing intercooler is A) a POS and B) requires some customizing to get it to fit right.
Sucks you had to find out the hard way when a quick search would have warned you about them |

I'd recommend filing a claim with Amazon ASAP.
