MHD tune - auto transmission starts in d2

Hey guys,

So when I flash my car sometimes with the MHD app, selecting the stage 1 93 Alpina tune both v5 and v6. My transmission starts in 2nd gear and it's literally underivable. Going into reserve shakes the whole car.

To fix this I would have to flash it again, sometimes 2 or even 3 times. But it'spast midnight and I already flashed it 3 time, and I'm still getting the same issue.

v6 , v6 again then v5. I'm kinda fed up at the moment. And will deal with this in the AM.

Does anyone else have this issues?

it's normal... and normally D3 even

don't panic and reflash. just drive normally with maybe one WOT then it should go back to normal.

Used to happen for me as well. What solved it was to simply just wait a couple of minutes before turning on the ignition again after flashing

Thanks guys, I started her up this morning and everything functions the way it should.

I guess it was late and I was being impatient.

I wonder why this happens. Does the ECU/DME have to finish programming and processing all of this new data?

You just have to drive it about 200 feet before it goes back to nornal. Usually it will start in D3. Mine does it everytime if I don't wait after flashing.

Do you turn the car off and lock keys in car for a few minutes like you are supposed to once you finish flashing?

That solves the issues.

Usually starts out in D3 for me. It usually gets back to normal within 1/4 mile if not less.

If you want to avoid it as CSU87 suggested, you need to turn off the car after flashing, get out, lock the doors and wait a few minutes for the car to go back to sleep.

No need to lock the doors in my experience. Just leave the car alone for a few minutes and it's fine afterwards.

Yea, just need it to go to sleep. It's been a while since I tried but I wasn't sure if locking the doors speeds up that process or not.

im not sure if it speeds it up or not, but i just roll the window down, toss the key in and grab a quick drink then start it up. Would be nice if you dont have to lock the key in so i dont feel as paranoid at the gas station when i do it.

Whenever I flash, afterwards I open the door and then close it but don't actually get out, lock it and wait 30 seconds or a minute then unlock it and start it and my Auto always drives away fine.
