I'm I out of recall/replacement for HPFP?

Hello. I got a HPFP problem. I got. 2007 335 e90 with close to 130k miles. I've read the requierments for recall 10 years or 100k miles. Can I still claim for recall (Bmw pay for the pump) with my car?

Its which one comes before the other. If you hit 10 years but under mileage you're out of warranty if you hit 100k Miles but in 10 years you're out of warranty. Only if you're under both requirements do you get the warranty.

Actually - BMW announced at the time that it will extend the emissions warranty coverage period to 10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first, on affected vehicles in all 50 States. If the HPFP fails during the extended warranty coverage period, BMW will replace it with a newer-production version.

just because your out by mileage and or time, doesnt mean your SOL, BMW dealers do have a good will thing where they can help cover certain things just outside of mileage/time warranty and cover some costs of repairs...I had a similar situation where they helped cover costs with my injectors. this does depend on the dealer, not bmw though.

Anyone know if the recall covers more than one replacement? I'm on the 2nd pump but it's starting to show signs of failure.

What do you mean by "helped cover costs?"

At the end of the day, how much did you have to come out of pocket?

What failure signs are you experiencing? Any codes thrown?

Hello. all of my problems are cold starts. starts right away but hesitates, engine shaking. then it says engine malfunction. But if I turn off engine and restart it's ok again. like nothing happened. it did throw a code--"misfiring" nothing else. I replaced my coils, spark plugs 20k miles ago. Should I replace them again first and see if that's the problem? Thanks in advance.

That sounds more like a leaky injector to me

Mine was replaced 4 times under warranty.
BMW eventually gave me $2500 as good will at 95K miles for my time and trouble.

My car is doing the same thing. I keep swapping in used injectors and it was ok for a while but now it's back. I'm going to have to get some index 12 injectors I think.
